Courtney Powell, has been an Athletic Trainer at Waynesville High School since the 2010-2011 school year. Courtney graduated high school from Arcanum in 2006, where she got her interest in Athletic Training from being a Student Aide with Teresa Leeper. At Wilmington College, Courtney was involved with the Sports Medicine Leadership Council as well as the Relay for Life. Courtney graduated cum laude from Wilmington College in 2010. Courtney has been involved in the OATA Young professionals committee, secondary school committee and the Social Media Chair. She spoke as a representative from YPC at the OATA Annual Symposium in 2015 with Kate Weale on the Benefits of Social Media as a professional. While at Waynesville High School she has have won the Safe Sport School Award from NATA and the Heat Safety Pledge from the Kory Stringer Institute.

In 2018 Courtney was awarded Ohio Athletic Trainers Association Athletic Trainer of the Year!

In what spare time she has, she enjoy's hiking and biking as a family as well as seeing movies and shopping! 

Courtney and her husband Mike have 2 daughters Annie and Ellie,  they also have 2 dogs and reside in Waynesville.
